JOB ROLES THAT MIGHT APPEAL
Sales Negotiator
We regularly add new faces to our team of negotiators. Many of our team
members are full time but others are employed part-time, for specialist
Saturday working or under an on-call contract. Negotiators are 'people
persons' - they must have an efficient, friendly manner and good customer
service and telephone skills. They must be patient - moving house can
be a very stressful time - and skilled in getting the best out of any
given situation. We prefer to recruit negotiators who have both experience
in our industry and good keyboard ability. Negotiator/Administrator
Each of our branches has a Negotiator/Administrator post. The successful
applicants are essentially good administrators with excellent keyboard
skills and some estate agency experience. They must also be prepared
to learn negotiator skills and deal with the public when required. The
branches do not have any 'back room' roles - all staff must be available
to deal with the public effectively and efficiently.
Valuers
Our Valuers are essential to the success of the business as these
are the people who visit prospective vendors and secure their instructions
to sell the property. They must be thoroughly experienced in all aspects
of estate agency and prepared to sometimes work unsocial hours. The
Valuer is often the first impression of the Company to a vendor and
so must be well presented and courteous at all times. A Company car
and mobile phone are provided to all our Valuers.
Viewing Representatives
Viewing Representatives are often early-retired individuals who
want to maintain an interest in business. They are recruited to show
prospective buyers around properties for sale, often in the evenings
and at weekends. They should be smart, courteous and trustworthy. Applicants
should be prepared to use their own car for business purposes, for which
they will be reimbursed. Most Viewing Representatives work for a local
branch and show people around properties in that area only. The exception
to this is Viewers who work for Fine & Country and Prestige, who may
be asked to travel all over the county to visit some of our larger,
more expensive properties.
