Auction House Guide To Selling & Buying a Property at Auction

This the first Griffin auction for 2008, and the first in our new Auction House styling. We hope that you like our dynamic new approach and the bold image that we have adopted. Also that you will soon see the benefits of our improved services and the increased activity that it will generate.

“Our plan will be to work with introducer agents in towns where we do not have a Griffin branch office, and to introduce a wider mix of properties into our catalogues”

Property auctions are a big growth area, both locally and nationally. The benefits of selling and buying at auction are becoming better understood by those active in the residential market, and TV programmes like “Under the Hammer” and “Property Ladder” are encouraging new buyers to enter the field, so much so that year on year growth of auction sales is currently running at over 30%. We have also noticed a growing trend for vendors to choose to sell through a local auction saleroom, rather than offering their property through a London auction room.

It was for these reasons that Griffin decided to expand its operation and activities, and take on a Regional Licence for the national Auction House brand. Our aim is to develop the size and spread of our auctions business to encompass much of Essex and East London. Our plan will be to work with introducer agents in towns where we do not have a Griffin branch office, and to introduce a wider mix of properties into our catalogues..

We believe that with this powerful new styling we have the opportunity to lead the way in land and property auctions across our region, and to work with other Auction House regions on a joint promotion basis.
